Novel Baswedan opens up about the news about not passing the ASN test

Jakarta, CNN Indonesia – Novel Baswedan, a senior investigator of the Corruption Eradication Commission (KPK), claimed to have received information about a number of anti-corruption agency employees – including himself – who did not pass the national insight test (TWK) as a condition for transferring status to State Civil Servants ( ASN).
He considered that there was an internal effort to get rid of people with integrity in the KPK because it was suspected that there was a plan by one of the KPK leaders to fire an employee who did not pass the test.

“Yes, that’s right, I heard the information. Efforts to get rid of good people and integrity from the KPK are an old, ongoing effort,” Novel told CNNIndonesia.com in a written statement, Monday (3/5) evening.

“If the information is correct, of course I will be surprised. Because this is the first time this effort has been made by the KPK leadership itself,” he continued.

Based on CNNIndonesia.com sources, it is said that there are 75 employees who did not pass the exam threatened to be dismissed from work from anti-corruption agencies.

This source said that the KPK chairman, Firli Bahuri, had forced his will to stop employees who did not pass the national insight test.

“In a tight fit after TWK was received by the KPK, Firli insisted on firing those who did not pass the ASN, even though he had been warned by the leadership and other structural officials, that there was no basis for dismissing, then also the basis for the assessment was also no clear indicator,” said the source. to CNNIndonesia.com, Monday (3/5).

From this internal source, it is known that those who did not pass the exam consist of the Head of the Task Force (Kasatgas) investigators and investigators from internal elements, the core management of the KPK Employee Council (WP), to other outstanding employees. Novel is one of the 75 employees.

Meanwhile, Firli was reluctant to respond to the news regarding the plan to be fired. This three-star police general only said that the KPK had received test results from the State Civil Service Agency (BKN), but had not disclosed the data.

“Please go to the Secretary General for this because until now the leadership has not disclosed the results of the national insight test. The results of the national insight test were received by the Secretary General from BKN on April 27, 2021 and until now it has not been opened,” said Firli.

Until this news was written, the Secretary General (Sekjen) of the KPK, Cahya Hardianto Harefa, had not yet answered the confirmation from CNNIndonesia.com.
